We have more than three decades of experience using technology to level the playing field for people with disabilities and providing customers with high quality IT and contact center support services. Our heritage and history is the foundation upon which we continue to evolve and grow our services for both our customers and the disabled population.
Late 1970’s
The University of Pennsylvania, IBM and State Rehab Agencies invest in early program at Penn to provide computer programming vocational training to persons with disabilities
1986
Our program becomes one of the first social enterprise models in the U.S., providing programming support to IBM, AT&T and the National Disease Research Interchange
1994
Our program spins off from Penn and becomes known as Abilitech
1998
Our first contact center is opened in Harrisburg, PA for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR)
2000
Our program becomes a wholly independent company in March 2000, incorporating as non-profit InspiriTec, and opens the Public Utility Commission contact center in Center City Philadelphia
2009
InspiriTec opens a Newark, NJ contact center to serve the Division of Consumer Affairs
2011
InspiriTec partners with U.S. Army to open contact center in Fort Knox, KY to employ disabled veterans
2012
InspiriTec opens an IT Help Desk in Wyomissing, PA to serve Pennsylvania State Police and expands our Fort Knox presence with the addition of the DoD Defense Data Manpower Data Center (DMDC) Consolidated Contact Center
2014
InspiriTec reaches the 500 employee mark
2021
InspiriTec reaches the 1,000 employee mark
