“InspiriTec looks at you for the person you are and the work you do, not the medical condition that you have.”

My name is Alpha K. Yekee, It was a challenge finding a job in the job market due to my disability. I suffered from polio as a child and as a result, standing for long time and walking can be painful at times. With the assistance of DVR and America Works, I was offered a position at InspiriTec. I have worked with InspiriTec for the past one year. I love this job and I try to come to work early every day. I had some difficulties using the public transportation so InspiriTec assisted me with applying for Access Link. I recently purchased a car that will get me to and from work without any struggles. My challenge now is that I need a device to operate the car with just my hands since I am unable to use my leg to drive. InspiriTec is working with DVR to help me receive this device so I can obtain my driver’s license. I also had fear of dealing with upset callers but with hard work and dedication, coupled with the relentless support of the loving people at InspiriTec, I was able to overcome this fear. I can now stand tall with confidence and say “No more fear.” Yes I can say this for a fact because my work hasn’t gone un-noticed. I talked to an angry caller who later decided to write a letter to my dynamic supervisors to commend me for work well done. I say thanks to the family of InspiriTec and mostly to the leaders at the call center at 153 Halsey Street Newark for giving me the chance to grow. Again I say thanks.
