SUCCESS STORIES
“InspiriTec looks at you for the person you are and the work you do, not the medical condition that you have.”
InspiriTec’s employees are our key asset and the fruit of our mission. Each real-life story below reveals the impact made possible through our partnerships with commercial customers and the dedication of our committed supporters.
Blane • Customer Care Representative • Ft Knox
I was a jack of all trades until Winter 2021, when suddenly I lacked any trade. My car crossed four lanes of traffic, went airborne, took out six trees, and landed in a ravine. I broke my back, which required daily physical therapy and hardly any physical activity. I contracted several disabilities from military service and previous employment, but since this accident, I cannot do physical labor. I wanted to work again, but I knew my job options were limited. I couldn’t return to any of the labor or management positions I had before. I learned about InspiriTec through a caseworker at Lincoln Trail Workforce Development. When I started with InspiriTec in Spring 2021, I didn’t think I could do it. I had knowledge of computers, but I never worked an IT or customer service role like this. InspiriTec pushed me to succeed. I love my job as a Customer Care Representative on the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A) team. I solve problems with the soldier’s case, and therefore improve their life! I also love my colleagues. I assist them whenever possible, because I want them to earn more money and skills – to be good enough to pass me! InspiriTec goes above and beyond for its employees. They have accommodated my disabilities: visual aids, extra break time, a stand-up desk, and a better headset. I’ve always served my community without expecting anything back. At work, I serve the military community, which has included my family going back to the Revolutionary War! I left the Army in much better shape than many others, so I willingly sacrifice my time to assist the military community as an IPPS-A CCR. At home, my wife and I volunteer as income tax preparers through VITA. In my hometown, I play Santa Claus at events during the holidays; you can see why from my photo! I have brand loyalty to InspiriTec: a company that cares as much about service as I do.
