In the Army, I learned the motto “One Team, One Fight.” It’s why I stayed for 24 years, 10 months. When I retired, I was looking for a career opportunity that emphasized camaraderie as much as the military. I found it at InspiriTec. I joined InspiriTec as a Tier 1 Help Desk Analyst, in 2019, on the DMDC Support Center (DSC) project. At DSC, we provide tech support to the military community. As a Tier 1, I most enjoyed serving the oldest Veterans. By helping them solve their inquiries, I felt I was thanking them for paving the way for my wonderful years in the Army. I was promoted to a Tier 2 Help Desk Analyst in 2020. As a Tier 2, my duties include resolving issues Tier 1 cannot handle, fixing/installing equipment for ID card facilities, and reinstating user accounts. In 2021, I earned my CompTIA Security+ certification, to show I am competent and committed in my job. Whenever possible, I assist Tier 1 and Tier 2 Help Desk Analysts, and I take Spanish language calls (I am a bilingual, second-generation Mexican-American). I earned the Morale Hero award in 2022, which shows I try to live “One Team, One Fight.” InspiriTec prioritizes us, the employees, so we can excel in serving our customers. They provide an accommodating work/life balance, in an environment where I can limit the impact my disabilities have on my job performance. DSC is a 24×7 operation, but InspiriTec structures my schedule, so I can attend all my VA appointments and family events. I have issues all over my body: back, feet, fingers, head, hearing, hip, knees, mental health, and wrists. InspiriTec got me a stand-up desk, a better chair for back support, and a better headset. Other companies don’t do that! My service to Veterans doesn’t end when I leave the office for the day. I am a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, where we ride motorcycles and serve needy Veterans!
