“InspiriTec looks at you for the person you are and the work you do, not the medical condition that you have.”

Beverly • Team Lead • Philadelphia
After being laid off from a couple of jobs, I worked with the Unemployment Office to identify career opportunities, and they connected me to InspiriTec. I was hired for a new project, called the Child Welfare Information Services (CWIS) Help Desk for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This team supports a system that processes background checks for people involved in working with children. Eventually, I ended up on another InspiriTec project, called the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Consumer Service Center, and I’ve been here ever since. Our ACA team assists callers with applying for Medical Assistance and SNAP benefits in Pennsylvania. I started as a Customer Service Representative (CSR), and I was promoted to Team Lead in 2020. In this position, I supervise and help train CSRs to provide exemplary customer service. I impart all the wisdom I’ve gained through a lifetime to all my colleagues. InspiriTec has acknowledged me several times for my achievement and dedication, most recently in September 2022 as the ACA Employee of the Month. As I reach retirement age and look back on my career, it has been about serving and assisting people. Many of InspiriTec’s employees are people with disabilities. This job allows me to assist people become more independent and realize their place in life. I am proud to work for InspiriTec, where employees are put first, and we get anything we need to be more productive. InspiriTec allowed me to reach my employment goals: to continue working after being laid off, and to enhance my IT skills. But maybe more importantly, thanks to InspiriTec, I have greater compassion, patience, and understanding for others.
